Quote Of The Week

This weeks quote - 22/10/12.
"Be like a postage stamp - stick to something until you get there."

I found this little thing when I was in Science the other day. I think it's just a great way of saying to never give up.

This weeks quote - 1/10/12.
"Be yourself, everybody else is already taken."

I think a lot of people in our generation can relate to this. Don't just be the same as every one else because that's what's 'cool', be true to who you are.

This weeks quote - 24/9/12.
"Live life secure in who you are and no one can ever put you down. Never judge, never hate. Be you, be great."

Probably one of my favourite quotes. Ever. I actually found this on twitter, in Madeline Fuhrman's bio. The first sentence is exactly what one of my teachers has been trying to telling us, if you like the way you are then you can't be hurt by what you say.

This weeks quote - 10/9/12.
"A friend is someone that knows everything about you and still loves you."

I love this quote because it's exactly what I think too, a friend will always be there for you, no matter whether you do something good or bad. They will never judge you, that's what they're for.

This weeks quote - 3/9/12.
'Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened'.

A quote from the wonderful Dr. Seuss himself.
You should always look back at things and appreciate that you got to experience them, have a positive outlook.
He's a smart, smart man.

This weeks quote - 27/8/12.
'You only live once, but if you live it right, once is enough.'

I think the whole point that this quote is trying to get across, is that you should live your life to the fullest. Take every moment as it comes and snap up any opportunity that comes your way.

This weeks quote - 20/8/12.
'I am not pretty. I am not beautiful. I am as radiant as the Sun.'

This is a quote out of my beloved The Hunger Games. It is said by the main character and by the books protagonist, Katniss Everdeen. I'm not sure why but I find this to be really wonderful. I guess it kind of gets the point across that I have been trying to say for a while now, be confident. Some people think it makes you a bit 'stuck up' or something if you think that you're pretty. But I think that it is perfectly fine to think that you look nice, what's wrong with liking the way you look?

'In order to be someone, you must first be yourself.'

I really like this quote. A lot of people try to be someone they're not, just so they can be popular, but I think you have to realise that if you want to be up there with the 'cool kids' and you want to be 'someone' you've got to start off by being yourself.
